PROBLEM / SALES & DEMAND PLANNING

Sales orders and the production plan start from the same numbers.

Connect quotes, orders and shipments, and turn demand into confirmed planned orders, configured on your data as the basis of sales and operations planning.

Sales and production bring different numbers to every meeting

Quotes sit in a salesperson's spreadsheet, orders in the ERP and shipment dates in logistics emails. The monthly sales and operations meeting spends its time reconciling them. Which demand went into the plan, and who confirmed it, is recorded only in the minutes.

Giz does not replace your ERP. It keeps one record from quote to shipment and from demand to a confirmed plan.

How the work flows

  1. Quote: Create a quote with customer, item, quantity and price.
  2. Order: Convert an accepted quote to an order. The link between them is kept.
  3. Shipment: Record shipments against the order and see the open quantity per order.
  4. Demand: Combine orders and forecasts into demand.
  5. Confirm planned orders: A planner confirms or cancels planned orders for that demand. Who confirmed what, and when, is recorded.

Scope

The models and business rules for this area are built and tested, but not yet demonstrated on customer data. They are validated on your data during the build.

Not included: Confirming a planned order is a planner's decision. The coverage calculation does not account for production or transport capacity, and the plan is not optimized automatically. Invoicing and accounting stay in your ERP.

Check it on your own data in the first week

Send your sales order list and forecast spreadsheet. Within a week we run the order, shipment and demand flow with your items, and sales and production check the numbers on the same screen. The build scope follows from that.
